This position is responsible for processing all paperwork required on materials leaving the plant.  Contacts carriers as necessary and processes necessary paperwork / transactions to ship finished goods to the customer. 


  • Prepare shipping documentation for domestic and export shipments.
  • Follows necessary procedures in making sure product is shipped properly including: pulling shipper, order and bill of lading, preparing load sheets, crating products, getting bill of lading signed and coordinating truck lines.
  • Generates packing labels, code vessel labels, finished good labels and applies labels to products or containers.
  • Works in quality conscious and safe manner.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the production supervisor.



Skills and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years’ work experience in related field a plus 
  • Must be able to read, write and count.
  • Excellent computer skills for various shipping interfaces. Personnel will be trained extensively in fourth shift MRP systems.
  • Attention to detail, focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Must be able to efficiently use a computer and various tools linked to the systems such as printers, hand held scanners, etc.
  • Ability to establish and maintain filing systems.
  • Must be able to operate various lifting equipment to include scissors lifts and fork lifts.
  • Ability to use various hand tools.
  • Must be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs. Must be able to bend stoop and stand on a frequent basis.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours.
  • Follow all plant and departmental safety rules and regulations.
