The Maintenance Manager position manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities; plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs. This includes all structures and landscape. Manages the maintenance of all production equipment for the facility. Comply with all product safety, legal, regulatory, and quality systems.



  • Manage maintenance, reliability, and facilities operations with a focus on meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, maintenance, efficiency, and service.
  • Oversee all maintenance and project activities to ensure they are completed in safe, timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
  • Lead maintenance activities - including direction of people, development and oversight of asset management programs, and implementation of initiatives - to maximize the performance of all infrastructure and equipment.
  • Responsible for the overall upkeep of production equipment and machines, and facility building and grounds, by scheduling and execution of preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance.
  • Through the use of continuous improvement methodology and team approach, identify and implement innovations and best practices to drive improvements in maintenance and reliability.
  • Must be able to develop, implement and be responsible for a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan as it pertains to facilities and develop the Reliability Centered Maintenance or Total Productive Maintenance program.
  • Must be able to work closely with engineering on process and equipment improvement projects. This includes developing and implementing comprehensive project plans.
  • Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
  • Plans, budgets and schedule facility modifications, including cost estimates and inspects construction and installation progress.
  • Executes emergency response responsibilities to include updating of evacuation maps, training on utility emergency shutdown and coordination with emergency team as needed.
  • Oversee and maintain all fire protection programs for the facility.
  • Oversee the maintenance teams, machine shop, and tooling teams to facilitate a teamwork approach, combining the expertise and personnel of all departments for the completion 
  • Manager must ensure that plant utilities and other auxiliary equipment are operational and are providing adequate utility support to the production departments.
  • Perform internal facility audits to monitor facility utility operations.Perform proactive audits on external and internal building maintenance conditions to maintain audit readiness.


  • Requires one of the following:
    • Bachelor's Degree with five (5) years previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated strong leadership and management skills
    • High school diploma or equivalent with eight (8) years previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated strong leadership and management skills
  • Two (2) years specific experience performing maintenance and equipment reliability
  • Displays strong interpersonal skills and is accessible and approachable
  • Knowledge in multiple maintenance and skilled trades disciplines such as mechanical and electrical maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, pipefitting, automation, robotics, and controls, and/or energy and utilities
  • Knowledge of business and management principles specifically as it relates to maintenance planning, resource allocation, cost analysis and budgeting, people management, and leadership guidance
  • Experienced in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and electrical drawings
  • Ability to utilize and train employees on technology, processes and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis, compare and investigate information, and recommend and implement resolutions
  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering
  • Four (4) years maintenance experience, manufacturing
  • Eight (8) years of engineering, facilities, machinery maintenance and/or reliability experience
  • Understanding of reliability tools and strategies including direct experience facilitating Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) or Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Experience managing multi-shift or continuous operations
  • Paper, chemical or plastics processing, or packaging industrial experience
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Previous plant production software experience required, SAP experience or similar software.
