We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our IT team at our largest global facility in Fairburn, GA. This role will be responsible for gathering information and providing support for help desk calls for business systems support but specifically routing ERP related issues; administering the IT Self Service Request system for Porex and acts as an escalation point between internal users for help desk issues, Help Desk Technicians and outside vendors.  The BSA will prioritize, evaluate, resolve and escalate calls as required, follows-up with users to ensure satisfactory completion of their request. 

We expect this role to have a continuous improvement mindset and to help drive this culture throughout the organization. The position will report to the Director of Business Information Systems.


Essential Job Function

  •  Serve as the liaison to the IT infrastructure, help desk, and manage the IT self-service knowledgebase and coordinate the assignment of various requests to designated IT team members.
  • Develops best practices and identifies opportunities for business process optimization, and coordinates systems changes with systems admin and vendors through internal change control processes.
  • Monitors the service request dashboard and helps the team complete all requests successfully and under the SLA – Service Level Agreement.
  • Follows all policies and procedures related to IT regulatory compliance.
  • Gathers all requested documentation related to IT Polices as if requested by internal Auditors.
  • Provides the information to the IT Director and follows up to ensure that all needed information is accurate.
  • Initiates quarterly ERP and MES system review for account disablement and password changes
  • Audits to ensure that all policies are followed.
  • Maintains a list of all systems and services IT provides at Porex and the IT and Business Function Subject Matter Experts for each.
  • Rotates around Porex facilities to gain valuable insight about how each business works, how their systems interact with operational processes and provide feedback to Director of Business Information Systems for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Gather a broad scope of knowledge from the MES and ERP System Administrators.

Technical Skills

  • Barcode Printing Technology – Design and Support of Label Printing.
  • Oracle User Management.


Experience, Education, Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information systems or Business Administration.
  • 2-3 years’ experience with Information Business Systems (ERP/CRM/CMS/MES) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in dealing with business users with differing levels of knowledge (executive staff, project sponsors, subject matter experts, end users).
