We are seeking a self-driven Process Engineer within our Top WIC segment.  This role demands excellent communication skills to demonstrate Porex capabilities and share customer desires with internal team members. The ideal candidate will have expertise in product development, strong relationship-building skills, as well as exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills. This person must be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • to collect and analyses process (5M1E) down time and seek solution to improve process reliability and machine up-time
  •  hands-on maintenance support (union shop, hands-on means not doing the   
  •  maintenance but understanding how) and 2D and/or 3D design capability
  •  experience in using CAD/Solid modeling in design
  •  handle all engineering support for all XPE lines      
  •  process optimization in terms of productivity, quality, delivery and cost improvement
  •  Handle cost savings projects
  •  scrap and waste reduction.
  •  design of minor process equipment, evaluate new processes, statistical analysis, product design and machine set-up
  •  experience/exposure to robotic application will be an added advantage
  •  experience in Project Management or production Planning will be an added advantage  

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering degree
  •  Problem -solving skills
  •  Able to operate CAD software like Solid Work
  •  Project management or planning skills/experience
  •  Exposure to Six Sigma/Green Belt training will be an added advantage
  •  1 to 3 years of working experience
  •  A recent graduate may also be considered 
  •   the ability to work under pressure.
