Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Schedule inbound loads with third party logistics company.
  • Building truckloads using ERP system by analyzing order(s) by order size, due dates and transit times.
  • Request & schedule outbound truckloads with third party logistics company.
  • Update & maintain in house trucking schedule for all outbound and inbound loads.
  • Request LTL pickups using third party logistics company and/or vendor logistics websites.
  • Allocate and print orders for warehouse to pick.
  • Learn finished goods products to communicate with production departments on shipping needs.
  • Assist Warehouse with processing of orders (invoicing), emailing final documents to customers and filing paperwork.
  • Assist with shipping/receiving document audit requests and annual physical inventory counting.
  • Provide freight estimates as requested.
  • Provide shipment tracking information as requested.
  • Support internal and external audits for both shipping and receiving.
  • Understand and perform basic material handling tasks on the warehouse floor.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Perform duties safely and report all observed safety hazards to a supervisor/manager.
  • Be punctual and at work daily, as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by the Plant & Department Manager
  • Ability to investigate and track problems.
  • Ability to work both, independently and in a team environment.


  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of shipping and/or receiving experience.
  • 2 years of logistic scheduling experience.
  • Familiar with using an ERP system, or any system that incorporates shipping/receiving live orders and inventory transactions.
  • Must have a sense of urgency in regard to deadlines.
  • Must have good computer skills, specifically in Excel spreadsheets & Outlook email service.
  • Able to speak in a clear and understandable manner, interact with others at all levels, respond to emails and answer telephones in a professional, courteous fashion.
  • Solid English skills, both verbal and written, including accurate spelling and punctuation. Able to write legibly and read English.  Organized, detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritizing workflow.  Strong follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • Able to adhere to specific instructions.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekday and weekend overtime.
  • Able to report to work, on time each workday, with minimal absenteeism.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams
  • 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving and inventory with an ERP system.
