Porex is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated candidate for the position of Life Sciences Sales Engineer. This is a remote position. This role will act as a bridge between our external customers and internal team members and is seated in the fastest growing segment of the business. This stakeholder manager will be responsible for developing new business within the segment, executing the current pipeline of opportunities, and accelerating Porex’s customer success rate for the Life Science Market. Coupled with this role, the Sales Engineer will gain exposure to cutting edge medical applications with opportunity for growth in both technical and commercial expertise.

As part of this unique role, the candidate will develop positive relationships with target customers, bridging internal team requests and managing opportunity assessment through to closure. Possessing a keen technical eye, they will perform both technical feasibility and commercial reviews, developing action plans that will address the client requests.

About the Role:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree with focus on Engineering, Material Science, or other related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in Product Development, Applications Engineering, Technical Sales or related role. Understanding of healthcare markets, medical applications, Supplier-OEM relationship and product development stage gates. Significant experience with cross-functional interaction with product development, sales, marketing, and manufacturing operations.
Experience working in a lab and/or manufacturing environment and a basic understanding of biochemistry strongly preferred, but not required.
Other skills and abilities required include:
Travel: Up to 25% including flying to attend customer meetings and trade shows.
