Overview

The Maintenance Manager is a key team member responsible for developing, implementing, and executing the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategy for a large-scale manufacturing facility, as well as provide leadership to the Maintenance organization. This role will report directly to the Director of Operations of the facility. The successful candidate will own all maintenance activities for the facility ensuring adequate and reliable equipment operation to meet our customer’s needs in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

  • Safety Focus and Improvement
    • Provide a safe work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors by ensuring that all life critical safety requirements and trainings are met, including but not limited to Combustion Safety, Lock Out / Tag Out, Pedestrian and Vehicle Safety, Working at Heights, etc.
    • Partners with Operations and EHS teams to allocate resources and investments required to achieve zero injuries, including systems, focused programs and leadership.
  • Maintenance Strategy and Execution
    • Partner with Plant Leadership Team to develop a clear maintenance strategy that is aligned with business goals and objectives.
    • Development and execution of improvement plans to eliminate unplanned machine downtime and improve equipment reliability.
    • Execute effective preventative maintenance and work order programs using predictive and preventative methodologies.
    • Partner with key stakeholders to identify, develop, and launch Capital Improvement projects related to the facility and equipment needs.
    • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis on critical equipment issues or repairs.
  • Total Productive Maintenance
    • Develop and implement the TPM program and culture for the facility – zero injuries, zero breakdowns, zero defects.
    • Leverage TPM methodology and tools to gain a better understanding of equipment and processes to eliminate unplanned downtime and equipment reliability issues.
  • Leadership
    • Attract, hire, and develop the best Maintenance team to deliver best-in-class safety and machine performance.
    • Build an open, trusting, and inclusive environment that promotes Bias for Action, Trust, and Entrepreneurial mindsets.
    • Champion TPM culture and initiatives across the facility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical Engineering or related field of study
  • 5+ years of experience working in a high-volume manufacturing setting
  • 3+ years of leadership experience of front-line maintenance teams
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional designation preferred
  • Experience leading Reliability Work Process (RWP) and Total Productive Maintenance (TMP)
  • Experience with sinter or high-volume fiber line processes and equipment is preferred
