Flow Dry is seeking a highly motivated and engaged Customer Service Representative to support sales efforts of industrial products through timely processing of new orders and ensuring customer satisfaction in the response, delivery, and service that is provided. Qualified candidates perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision; act with integrity towards other employees, customers, and suppliers; contributing to the team on all assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Review, accept, and process purchase orders.
  • Promote company capabilities and develop customer relationships.
  • Coordinate customer requests for earlier than promised shipment of orders.
  • Coordinate order activity with other functional departments of the company.
  • Assist the customer in solving problems related to orders, service, and new business.
  • Understand and follow IATF 16949 company procedures and work instructions related to Customer Service, when appropriate. In situations which may require deviation from company policy/procedure, the CSR is required to recognize these events and obtain approval of the Sales while providing recommendations for appropriate action. 
  • Process customer purchase orders as sales orders according to procedural guidelines.
    • Acknowledge purchase orders, including any exceptions required
    • Interact with Purchasing, Estimating, and Scheduling to schedule work orders
    • Utilize and maintain EDI for order receipt, ASN’s, or as required by the customer
  • Assist Sales and Product Management in preparation of quotations.
    • Accept and process verbal and written requests for quotations
    • Track progress of open quotes
    • Communicate price and deliver quotations
    • Answer product and price questions
  • Communicate with the customer.
    • Product, price, delivery, shipping, and payment terms
    • Answer inquiries about order status, delivery, etc.
    • Communicate and/or negotiate change in schedules
  • Maintain customer files and contact information, securing complete and current information on each customer.
  • Process customer complaints and coordinate returns and requests for credit with Quality Assurance.
  • Compose correspondence to customers as required.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Business or related field, or 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of an ERP
  • Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated team-player with good interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • PC proficient using an ERP and MS Word and Excel.
