Filtration Group is looking for a Facility Costodian

 

Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Cleaning kitchen, refrigerators, cafeterias, and bathrooms
  • Cleaning lobby, reception, and office areas
  • Dusting and disinfecting all surfaces, trims and walls
  • Wiping down door-knobs, rails, timeclocks and heavily touched surfaces
  • Cleaning floors (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.)
  • Shampooing rugs and carpets, if necessary
  • Using equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaners
  • Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift
  • Emptying, collecting and taking out trash and recycling
  • Refilling of napkins, soap dispensers, paper towels, etc.
  • Maintaining a thorough inventory and notifying supervisor to order cleaning supplies, as needed
  • Maintain outdoor break areas
  • Report to supervisor any situation where the operation deviates from acceptable quality or safety standards
  • Follow all company rules and regulations, per the Employee Handbook and department policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
  • Time-management and multitasking abilities
  • Physical strength and stamina
  • Organization skills
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work overtime on short notice
  • Able to reach, bend, lift and move (up to 50 lbs.), twist, squat, push and pull
  • Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
