Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within our organization. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming materials and compare them with purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Store materials in proper locations within the warehouse.
  • Organize and maintain inventory records.
  • Retrieve materials for production or shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Package and prepare materials for shipment, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and requirements.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized, following all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
  • Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and operate material handling equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience with inventory management software.
