Responsibilities

Project Engineer

 

The Project Engineer will coordinate the internal/external technical documentation of large order projects from receipt of order through the customer drawing approval phase, production, and shipment. As part of the assigned responsibilities, projects are managed to ensure the delivery of high-quality products within specified timeframes and budget constraints. Duties include confirming equipment selection, maintaining compliance with project specifications, coordinating schedules for drafting and manufacturing, and handling technical and commercial correspondence as needed. This candidate should have in-depth technical knowledge of the products, proper engineering design standards and sub-vendor procurement/production practices.

 

  • Coordinate across all internal functions as well as outside vendors on project requirements.
  • Create and maintain project schedules for all projects.
  • Prepare all technical documentation of large order projects from the customer approval phase through production and shipment. This requires handling the necessary internal/external correspondence.  Distributing required specifications/information to the various departments for explanation of duties required of them.
  • To become familiar with Facet product technology and follow up newly developed technologies and practices to coordinate and support the design, procurement and fabrication of our equipment as well as supporting our customers in the development and completion of their project.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Drafting, Purchasing, and Production to maintain the progress of the projects towards on time and on budget completion and keep management informed on all important issues concerning their assigned projects.
  • Organize and prepare technical reports presenting the current status of their assigned projects. They must also be able to communicate/clarify any issues related to the progress of the project to the customer and management via project status reports.
  • Special assignments and other duties as assigned.
  • Must comply with Company policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Must be knowledgeable of all Facet products.
  • This position requires very strong project management, people, and computer skills.
  •  

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business-related field
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail
  • General base of pressure vessel and filtration knowledge preferred
  • Communicate effectively with Management and Customer base
  • Intermediate level of MS Excel and other MS office products
  • Experience with ERP systems, COMPRESS, and Solidworks, preferred.
