The Product Manager is responsible for leading marketing strategy for the product categories (Healthcare, Food, Nutraceuticals.) The role includes partnering with the Sales and Marketing teams in planning the strategic direction for the assigned category, as well as driving product lifecycle management, establishing pricing strategy, new product/platform roadmaps, financial portfolio management, and overall responsibility for delivering business results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive assigned category plans, execution, and distribution strategy to achieve market share, volume, and profit targets (including responding to trends, portfolio mapping, innovation/renovation activity).
  • Cross-functional team leadership on key initiative products and programs.
  • Ensure execution of plans and achievement of results by: getting the right people on the team; aligning and preparing them to perform at a higher level; and providing daily leadership to create positive experiences to shape beliefs and actions consistent with our desired culture.
  • Understand the customer, competitor, consumer, Multisorb’s capabilities and other insights that will be leveraged to shape the category.
  • Perform competitive analysis, market quantification, and assessment.
  • Lead Discovery work to generate new products and platforms within appropriate target segments.
  • Drive VOC for customer and consumer and translate into business opportunities.
  • Own responsibility for understanding the market driven insights that will shape strategy and drive outcomes.
  • Responsible for planning and executing marketing plans for the assigned category to drive demand.
  • Work with the Sales team to develop GTM and LTW tools for new products.
  • Provide training and support to sales teams, distribution and key partners on new product features and benefits.
  • Interface with external partners, customers and vendors that support demand generation resources
  • Accountable for ensuring content and data for assigned category is demand generation ready.
  • Develops and manages gaps and contingency plans as required.
  • Collaborates with demand generation digital resources to drive demand.
  • Develop product lifecycle and SKU rationalization plan for category to optimize portfolio performance.
  • Product Development and Improvement: Execute innovation/optimization activity against plan.
  • Product/Segment Knowledge: “Expert” on assigned category (understand operational capabilities, technical aspects, uses, customer positioning).
  • Influence category demand plan, risks and opportunities and gap closing plans.
  • Provide support and solutions to the Product Supply Chain.
  • Owns pricing for each category and maximizes Multisorb’s value proposition within the assigned category. Understands product cost structure (perform basic proforma’s).
  • Leads and drives SKU rationalization activities for the assigned category.

Pay: $90,000 - $120,000 annually

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering or related field required (MBA preferred)
  • At least five (5) years of experience delivering successes in a product marketing or engineering role.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning in a product marketing or engineering role with proven success.
  • Solid financial skills to include P&L analysis and other analyses.
  • Solid communication skills to include verbal and written capabilities; strong presentation ability with all audiences and levels of management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with cross functional resources through initiatives, projects, and teams.
  • Proven track record of taking initiative and delivering results.
  • Solid software proficiency including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Physical Demands

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the building to access other offices, meeting rooms, and equipment in the facility.

The person in this position frequently communicates with customers, vendors, and co-workers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Work Environmen

Generally works in an office environment but may be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.Normal manufacturing conditions requiring safety observation at all times.
