Filtration Group is seeking to hire a Treasury Director to lead our global treasury activities.  The role will be based in Oakbrook Terrace, IL, with a hybrid work schedule. There are currently 2 team members reporting to this role. One is based in Oakbrook Terrace, and the other in Zurich, Switzerland. The treasury function oversees activities across a decentralized operating structure which requires strong leadership and influencing skills.  Travel is generally not required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the automation and rationalization of treasury tasks and activities to drive continuous improvement and efficiency
  • Manage cash for the company; maintain cash forecasts and ensure funds are available to meet business needs daily.
  • Ensure compliance with credit agreement requirements. Prepare quarterly debt compliance calculation.
  • Manage any debt-related transactions, coordinating with outside counsel, internal legal, accounting, and tax teams to ensure all matters are addressed.
  • Manage relationships with banks & credit rating agencies.
  • Complete the implementation of cash pooling projects.
  • Manage the onboarding of new acquisitions into the centralized banking programs.
  • Analyze interest rate and FX risk and develop and execute hedging strategies to mitigate these exposures.
  • Collaborate with tax department to address tax and compliance issues related to intercompany loans and dividends.
  • Collaborate with FP&A team on information presented to the Board of Directors regarding cash and debt.
  • Provide administrative support for users of banking platforms.
  • Manage the issuance of bank guarantees and letters of credit.
  • Review bank fees; Ensure transactions are processed in most efficient/cost-effective manner. Drive changes to improve fee structure with banks.
  • Prepare the annual FBAR filing.
  • Interface with business finance teams to establish and ensure adherence to treasury policies and procedures.
  • Perform regular reviews of cash handling activities to ensure effective internal control procedures are being followed. Advise on necessary controls for fraud prevention and compliance with U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
  • Drive awareness to business teams around cyber threats in relation to handling of cash.
  • Manage or assist with other ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience with international treasury work processes.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team of treasury professionals.
  • Expertise in cash management, bank relationship management, and treasury best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high priority deliverables.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels within the organization as well as with external parties.
  • Ability to work independently and take strong ownership of responsibilities.
  • Must be a strategic thinker, self-motivated and have excellent problem solving and project management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel.
