Jonell Systems is looking for an Estimator based in Mineral Wells, TX. We are seeking an Estimator that will be at the front line of receiving and evaluating customer inquiries for filtration and separation equipment. The Estimator will prepare bid packages that may include preliminary pressure vessel design, costing materials and estimating labor for cost workups.

 

 

Responsibilities

About the Role:

 

  • Review customer inquiries and specifications.
  • Select product offerings most suitable for customer needs.
  • Design equipment to be offered and/or select from previous designs.
  • Ensure that product designs are within scope of ASME code guidelines.
  • Prepare preliminary sketch, gather material pricing, estimate labor.
  • Prepare estimate and/or bid package suitable for our business model.
  • Upon approval, meet with engineering/project management/purchasing/manufacturing/QC to discuss issues critical to successful completion and on time delivery of the project.

 

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

 

  • Engineering discipline B.S. preferred.
  • 2+ years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Specific knowledge of a wide variety of filtration and separation technologies needed.
  • Fabrication, process controls, and ASME Code design knowledge preferred.  Familiarity with pressure vessel fabrication and welding, natural gas processing, controls and instrumentation, and Oil/Gas industry specifications needed.
  • Proficient with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and experience with analytical tools such as MS Office (Advanced Excel), Compress, AutoCAD, SalesForce is a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Mathematical skills needed – ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rate/ratio/percentages.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with sound organizational skills
  • Displays willingness to make decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgement, supports and explains
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities but also be deadline oriented
  • Willingness to be a part of a team performing whatever duties are necessary to complete the task at hand
