Jonell Systems is looking for an Drafer/Designer based in Mineral Wells, TX.

The Designer will be responsible for developing detailed assembly drawings and shop routings for vessels and related capital equipment.

 

 

Responsibilities

About the Role:

 

  • Use company drawing standards on all designs.
  • Utilize sales orders to design Customer, Approval, Certified, As Built, and Detailed Fabrication drawings from bid to shop construction.
  • Provide ASME Code Design Calculations, and Travelers.
  • Create Part Numbers and Bill of Materials utilizing various construction materials and system components. Work with sales and shop personnel to ensure Product is produced to specifications.
  • Use AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks software to assist in design of finished drawings of various vessels and attachments.
  • Design and release configure to order product designs that are more suited to scaling, standardization and value-added engineering practices. Design custom (engineered to order) products and projects, using the appropriate processes.  Execute processes suited to customer and product segmentation (i.e., focus on “A” products/customers), as directed by management.
  • Create shop routing packets for release to Fabrication.
  • Create Burning profiles for shop manufacturing of various parts.
  • Assist Junior Drafters as needed.
  • Software used for creating required documentation: Compress, MS Excel, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SAP, Adobe Acrobat.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

 

  • 2+ years of related experience as a Drafter or Designer with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
  • High School Diploma or GED, AutoCAD/Drafting graduate from a Technology School.
  • Pressure vessel or piping design experience required.
  • Proficient with ERP systems and experience with analytical tools such as Excel
  • SAP experience a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with sounds organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities but also be deadline oriented.
  • Willingness to be a part of a team performing whatever duties are necessary to complete the task at hand.
