The company’s filter offering includes panel, pleated and mini-pleated filters, among others, that are focused on the highest minimum-efficiency-reporting-values ratings and high-efficiency-particulate-absorbing requirements.  We are a world leader in the ability to create true HEPA filters as well as gas phase filters with a differentiated ability and have partnered with several companies to produce OEM filter solutions for their products.

 

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Direct Branch Filter Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for starting up a new branch  by generating new business and maintaining existing client relationships within the air filtration industry in an assigned geography.   This role requires a deep understanding of our products, the markets that they are sold into, the competitive landscape and the ability to effectively communicate the FG Air value proposition to end use customers. This role is located in Chicago, Illinois.

Responsibilities

  • Work interdepartmentally with our fulfillment, operations and SIOP teams to use our existing manufacturing footprint and support teams to execute PO to customer receipt process. 
  • Identify and target potential customers in various industries within the assigned geography that require the air filtration solutions that FG Air provides.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers which includes quarterly business review.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and site audits to showcase the benefits of our air filters and provide recommendations for the best total cost of ownership solutions for filter consumers in assigned geography.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals and contracts that fit within the corporate Filtration Group guidelines.
  • Create a customer onboarding program that facilitates a churn rate >4% (industry standard).
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and quotas by creating and maintaining a strong sales funnel. 
  • Provide an exceptional customer onboarding experience by partnering with internal stakeholders like customer success, fulfillment team member and operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities and keep that information up to date within our Salesforce.com CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales strategies and promotional materials to include but not limited to:  social media (white papers and technical blog posts), industry trade show and event attendance, lunch and learns with facility maintenance professionals for continuing education credits and becoming CAFS certified.

     

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5 + years sales experience
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills required.
  • Strong relationship and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel +50% of the time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with certainty.
  • Proficient computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous Filtration sales experience highly preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in and fosters a team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen sense of urgency
  • Technical Sales, OEM or MRO experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $125,000-$150,000 annually, exempt
