The ERP Technical Analyst will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the businesses ERP applications. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of QAD solutions commonly used in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QAD, exceptional programming skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, gather requirements, and define project scope.
  • Configure and optimize QAD modules to function efficiently in a progress database and Linux environment.
  • Application design, development, testing including customizations, reports, interfaces, EDI, and API.
  • Write and maintain code to customize and enhance QAD functionality.
  • Create and maintain interfaces to other systems from ERP software using API, EDI, or Mounting a drive.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to QAD, Progress Database, and Linux environments
  • Critical thinking, troubleshooting, validation testing, write-ups, and professional communication both internally and externally
  • Produce documentation to describe custom configurations of applications and operating procedures to communicate with third party consultants
  • Support testing efforts by developing test cases, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), and validating that solutions meet business requirements
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.
  • Assist in managing and outsourcing requirements for third party application development and programming.
  • Actively participate in QAD application projects, both regionally and globally.
  • Support QAD system upgrades and implementations.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of recent experience as a developer with a focus of working on technical projects with QAD ERP.
  • Proficiency in application design and development within an ERP system, with a strong understanding of Progress Database and Linux environments.
  • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment – Being versatile, dynamic, results oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines
  • Quick learner/ willingness to learn
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

 

Desired

  • In-Depth working knowledge of QAD SE and/or QAD EE environments in a manufacturing organization
  • Label design generation and printing software (Bartender, EZ-labels, Maestro, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Doclib, ProStar, Eagle scanning solutions, and other QAD partnering software.
  • Experience in writing and modifying Zebra Programing Language (ZPL II) for label printing
  • Understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and/or Application programming interface (API)
  • Skilled in query writing for business reporting tools (Cyberquery, Power Bi, QAD Analytics)
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages or technologies (e.g., JavaScript, SQL)
  • Approved for domestic and international travel. Available to travel up to 25%, or more, during projects

  • Base Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 annually, exempt
