Overview

The Waco Filters Strategic Accounts Representative will report to the Strategic Accounts Manager and will be based remotely. Their primary responsibility is to be the face of the organization to the customer. The Strategic Accounts Representative will drive net revenue and profitability for key strategic accounts based on relationships, technical product knowledge, and commercial innovation. Success in this role will be accomplished by quantifying market opportunities and corresponding business development tactical plans to increase market share, revenue and profitability. The Strategic Accounts Representative needs to work collaboratively with a range of internal departments to support the customer and their needs in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.


The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated quick learner, with a basic technical inclination and a strong bias for action. The candidate will possess sound negotiating skills, strong attention to detail, solid organization skills, the ability to virtually showcase our offerings in a compelling way and be comfortable presenting utilizing several video and/or phone conferencing tools. The person must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, both in person and virtual to ensure a culture of success is maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sales team efforts associated with strategic accounts
  • Manages all internal account-related topics, information requests, and customer inquiries
  • Work directly with Commercial team to facilitate efforts towards achieving KPI’s
  • Lead efforts regarding site implementation – quoting, collecting relevant customer information, submitting proposals, and other initiatives needed for successful implementation outcomes
  • Schedule meetings with sales team and other internal & external stakeholders to keep efforts moving forward regarding strategic accounts
  • Develops new business opportunities/inquiries via application of existing technology and partners with Company Engineering to communicate new technology
  • Win new business opportunities through customer production purchase orders against an annual closed business target
  • Facilitate and manage face-to-face customer interaction with all Company departments, including support with certification and customer audits
  • Analyze historic data and market trends to propose and negotiate custom pricing structures, incentive programs, and strategic approaches to new and existing accounts
  • Development and maintenance of engineering and purchasing relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Project manage according to organizational guidelines from initiation to series production
  • Work as a liaison with sales team to ensure that product strategies and market messages are aligned with account level strategic objectives
  • Negotiate, review, and maintain Long Term Agreements (LTA), Purchase Agreements (PA) and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA)
  • Responsible for development of Quarterly Business Review materials
  • Develop and maintain key account strategies to drive the organization to achieve successful outcomes
  • Monitor major project activities using SalesForce tool which includes sales force alignment, pipeline tracking, major project update/review, and data cleanliness of contact and project database
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Partner effectively with the sales team to drive territory coverage and maintain positive customer relationships

  • Possess excellent organizational skills with very effective attention to detail
  • Sound negotiation skills are essential
  • Robust time management skills are essential
  • Skilled at working within deadlines and prioritizing multiple projects with minimal supervision to meet changing business needs
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be committed to expanding product knowledge and utilizing all available resources while striving for continuous improvement, both professionally and for business success
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office; specifically, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Working knowledge of teleconference tools

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or relevant is required; -or- in absence of Bachelor's Degree, nine (9) years of experience with sales operations or a related field is required
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience with sales operations or a related field
  • Process filtration experience is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills required
  • Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large, long-term projects

Travel

  • This role may require up to 25% travel (overnight expected) to visit customers, end users, collaborate with team members, and participate in industry events.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

  • Sit or stand for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to traverse customer sites and climb stairs by standing and walking
  • Work flexible hours.
