Overview

Molecular Products, Inc. is looking for a Jr. Research Scientist to contribute to the development of new and innovative products in the area of chemically based technology solutions for processing, storage, and purification of air and gases.  The emphasis is on gas processing, sorbents and other gas treatment application.

Responsibilities

Primary duties would include materials development with progressive advancement in product technical knowledge through training, job experience and research are expected. 

Laboratory & Test Equipment - responsibility for technical operation of R&D laboratory equipment and test procedures and to contribute to writing laboratory procedures and training and for transfer of methods to QA.

Research Management - Take independent responsibility for assigned development programs, collaborating with other staff in R&D, Engineering, Production and Marketing.  Clear focus on delivering results within a project schedule is required.

Communication - actively participate in department and project team meetings, leading assigned projects.  Prepare scheduled progress reports for management and communicate progress against goals.  Professional and effective external communication with customers, suppliers, government agencies and contractors as required by program actions. This scientist works closely with all departments, especially Engineering, Production and Quality to coordinate project activities that may impact or be impacted by other departments.

Adherence to safety, quality and ISO standards and procedures.

Desired - 

Experience with Project management/coordination for development projects.

Writing test procedures

General mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble neat, professional small-scale lab and pilot test systems.

Proficient in use of MS Office applications.

Familiarity with interfacing lab equipment with computers for data acquisition and control.
