Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer – Continuous Improvement to drive operational excellence by identifying, developing, and implementing initiatives that optimize manufacturing processes. This role will play a key part in enhancing product quality, improving productivity, reducing costs, and supporting the Filtration Group’s mission to make the world safer, healthier, and more productive.

Responsibilities

  1. Process Optimization
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
  • Develop and implement improvements to enhance product quality, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
  1. Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  • Lead or participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
  • Define improvement goals, metrics, and action plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  1. Productivity Enhancement Projects
  • Identify and lead initiatives to improve throughput and reduce lead times.
  • Execute projects to streamline operations and maximize production output.
  1. Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Collect and analyze process-related data to uncover trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and deliver presentations to communicate findings and progress to stakeholders.
  1. Quality Assurance Support
  • Partner with quality teams to ensure process changes align with quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  1. Cost Reduction and Resource Optimization
  • Evaluate and implement cost-saving measures across labor, material, and equipment utilization.
  • Monitor ROI on improvement initiatives.
  1. Documentation and Standardization
  • Create and update standardized work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation.
  • Train production teams on new processes and continuous improvement best practices.
  1. Technology Integration
  • Research and recommend automation and advanced manufacturing solutions.
  • Support implementation of new tools and technologies to improve operational efficiency.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to solve complex problems.
  • Provide engineering support for troubleshooting and process stabilization.
  1. Safety and Compliance
  • Ensure process improvements prioritize employee safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Support safety audits and adherence to all applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on process improvement.
  • Proven application of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data/statistical analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing automation (preferred).
  • Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and industry-specific compliance standards.
