Overview

Executive Summary:

Molecular Products, Inc. (MPI) is a fast-growing chemical manufacturing and distribution company that is dedicated to making the world a Safer, Healthier and More Productive Place by providing Pure Air Technologies.  MPI is located in Louisville, Colorado.  We are seeking an Industrial Business Development Manager to generate new business revenue for safety and industrial markets. 

 

Objective for Position:

The primary focus of this role is generating new business while executing effective account management to enable organic growth of Industrial accounts.

 

Scope:

Industrial Sales Manager (ISM) will work with the support of team members to achieve targeted growth in sales and product range to new and existing customers through direct and distributed sales channels.  The ISM will be responsible for participating in the development of account management (AM) strategies to solidify new accounts and set a path to sustainable, profitable business with new accounts, major territory customers and prospects. 

  • Reports to: Sales Manager or Commercial Director
  • Territory: Americas, but expectation for worldwide collaboration
  • Products: Industrial (Oxygen, Carbons, Whetlerite and CO2)
  • Key Markets: Safety, Green Energy, Indoor Air Quality, Petrochemical, Cleanroom
  • Travel: Approximately 40% travel is required for conferences, exhibitions, customer meetings, and company training. 

Responsibilities

Key Deliverables:

  1. Sales growth
  2. New business/new product sales revenue generation and growth to targets
  3. Organic growth of existing accounts
  4. Margins consistent with company policies
  5. Manage new business pipeline from prospecting-to-leads-to-close
  6. Respected commercial representative for the company

  3. Ability to develop influential commercial relationships at all levels of decision-making with government program and technical personnel, prospects and customers.
  4. Ability to a consultative, technical sales approach.
  5. Ability to identify and understand customer needs and address risk.
  6. Ability to negotiate and persuade – sell value not price.
  7. Ability to identify and relate valid market information.
  8. Sales funnel pace management – urgency and ability to overcome obstacles.
  9. Personal drive to deliver excellence.
  10. Professional and effective communication across broad internal and external audiences with the ability to listen and empathize with people.
  11. Collaborative and energized by being part of a global team (not a lone wolf).
  12. Understanding of Industrial Market.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3-years of Industrial Sales experience with Key and Global accounts
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to travel
  • Business acumen 

DESIRED:

  • Chemical industry experience
  • Higher math, chemistry and/or physics
  • Spanish language fluency

Compensation Target:

Base salary target $125K; 15% on-target variable; 2% commission on sales exceeding target
