We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Specification & Industry Engagement Engineer to lead the development and promotion of our engineering specifications within the wastewater and industrial treatment sectors. This hybrid role combines technical writing, field inspection, and relationship-building to ensure our solutions become and remain the industry standard.

Responsibilities

  • Specification Development
    • Write and maintain accurate, compelling, and technically sound engineering specifications for our products and systems.
    • Collaborate with internal engineering, product management, and marketing teams to align specifications with performance and value propositions.
  • Industry Engagement & Relationship Building
    • Build and nurture long-term relationships with engineering firms, municipalities, and industrial clients.
    • Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions to engineering firms to promote inclusion of our products in design specifications.
    • Act as a technical liaison between the company and specifying engineers to ensure our solutions are top-of-mind during project planning.
  • Technical Presentations & Sales Support
    • Deliver technical presentations to engineering groups, municipalities, and decision-makers to support our sales efforts.
    • Partner with sales teams on key accounts to influence specifications and project design stages.
  • Site Visits & Inspections
    • Perform on-site inspections of our equipment at wastewater treatment plants and other industrial facilities.
    • Troubleshoot issues, verify proper installation and operation, and ensure compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical, or related discipline).
  • 5+ years of experience in the wastewater or related industrial markets.
  • Strong knowledge of municipal or industrial water/wastewater systems.
  • Proven experience writing technical specifications and presenting to engineering audiences.
  • Comfortable leading presentations, trainings, and technical sales discussions with large groups.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for site visits and in-person trainings – travel up to 80%.
  • PE license a plus but not required.
