The Porex Foam Filtration Group creates Beauty and Medical Products at their Plant in St. Charles, Michigan. Currently they are looking for a Reactor/Batching Operator to work either a Second or Third Shift.  This position requires an independant person who works well within a team enviroment.

• Bulk chemical offload following RMP and procedural requirements.
• Precisely measure components for liquid batching operations.
• Handling flammable materials safely via PPE, static dissipation, vessel headspace inerting, and procedure adherence.
• Operate control system for main reactors monitoring critical parameters.
• Perform line breaks as needed for strainer changes.
• Loading tote containers from the reactors.
• Moving totes with fork truck to storage and usage stations.
• Wearing supplied air PAPR and other related PPE for bulk offload and reactor sampling and downloading.
• Interfaces with ERP system for traceability recording of raw material lots into each batch production.
• Member of HAZWOPER team for emergency response.
• Complete lock-out tag-out for service operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required 
• 5 Years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and follow instructions  
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations 
• Must be able to work in a positive, dynamic work environment with an emphasis on teamwork and quality of work
• Minimum of 3 years experience working with chemicals wearing related PPE

Physical Demands 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:  

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds up two flights of stairs, up to 20 times per shift.
• Must be able to load 50 pound bags manually into batching opertations (up to 72 bags per shift)
