Overview

The Master Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of master data of Columbus Industries ERP system. This role works cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, IT, and Sales teams to establish and maintain standardized processes for master data management in alignment with SOX compliance, internal controls, and company policies.

 

This position plays a key role within the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) function by enabling reliable data-driven decision-making through strong data governance practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a robust master data management framework covering Item, Customer, and Vendor master data.
  • Oversee the Item lifecycle from creation to obsolescence, ensuring timely updates and accuracy.
  • Manage ECR/ECO routing and approval processes.
  • Maintain Pricing Data, Bills of Material, and Routings.
  • Support and contribute to the ongoing development and execution of Data Governance policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and management to validate data requirements and ensure proper setup in alignment with business needs.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and exception reports to measure data quality and adherence to SLAs.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and desktop instructions related to master data processes.
  • Manage Work Center creation, branch-plant relationships, and related production data.
  • Maintain and update data for 80/20 product classification, Safety Stock, and Minimum Run Quantities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements (e.g., SOX).
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation opportunities within master data processes.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Data Administration, Data Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience (4–6 years).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, or related functions.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud, or JD Edwards (JDE) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Vendor Portals and data validation processes is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
