Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update HR files, personnel records and HRIS data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Assist in routine audits of HR records to ensure adherence to internal policies and applicable laws.
Respond to basic employee inquiries (applicants, employees or supervisors) and route more complex issues to appropriate HR team members.
Help prepare HR documents and correspondence (e.g., offer letters, leave of absence letters, separation letters, orientation materials, etc.).
Provide administrative support for performance review cycles, training sessions, employee events or recognition programs.
Stay informed of HR compliance trends, basic employment-law updates and internal HR best practices, and escalate any questions to senior HR staff.
Perform other administrative duties and HR support tasks as assigned.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time-management ability.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Familiarity with employment-related laws and HR practices (or a willingness to learn).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to quickly learn and use the organization’s HRIS / applicant tracking / talent-management systems.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
0–2 years of experience in HR, administrative support or related functions.
HR certification (e.g., Society for Human Resource Management - CP) preferred.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally (e.g., files, boxes).
May need to move about the organization’s facilities for onboarding/orientation activities or other support functions.
$22/hour-$28/hour
