We are seeking a SIOP Leader for our largest manufacturing facility in Fairburn, GA. Reporting to the Fairburn Managing Director, the SIOP Leader will be responsible for leading Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning, owning production capacity models, and managing the site’s on hand inventory. This role will directly manage Procurement professionals, collaborate with Commercial leaders, and partner with Operations personnel.  To be effective, the SIOP Leader will focus on sales forecasts & market trends, maintain capacity models, and own inventory management best practices. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP); build strategies into daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
  • Develop and maintain master production schedules to meet customer demand that align with company objectives.
  • Directly lead planning, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure schedule feasibility.
  • Monitor production progress and adapt schedules in response to changing priorities or constraints, reporting any discrepancies or opportunities to all stakeholders.
  • Analyze capacity constraints and recommend solutions to optimize throughput and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain ERP system data integrity for planning parameters and scheduling inputs.
  • Develop and build reports on schedule performance, resource utilization, and delivery metrics.
  • Support new product introductions and engineering changes by integrating them into the production schedule.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure the accuracy of inventory records, including identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs in the supply chain process.

Qualifications

Core Competencies

  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to drive operational results and align team efforts with organizational goals.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis for performance tracking and cost management.
  • Supply Chain Management: Experience with inventory principles, inventory turns, supplier lead times, and Safety Stock levels.
  • Change Management: Demonstrated success in leading cultural shifts and delivering measurable improvements.
  • Collaboration: Skilled in working cross-functionally to achieve shared business objectives.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in operations roles; with at least two (2) years directly leading supply chain teams.
  • Life Sciences industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SIOP processes and resource planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing cost-saving initiatives and driving performance improvements.
