Reporting to the Porex CFO/VP Finance, the FP&A Manager plays a critical role in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring financial governance/compliance within a specific business segment(s). This individual must possess strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and leadership abilities to effectively fulfill their responsibilities.

 

The FP&A Manager will use a hands-on approach and be responsible for performing tasks ensuring the completion of monthly analyses, budgets, forecasts, reports, and data analysis. This role will improve, develop, and establish metrics which support the organization’s objectives. The role will support the broader business operation by preparing accurate financial statements by segment (Americas/EMEA & APAC, Consumer and Auto) and by providing analysis and insight to help leaders understand and improve results. 

 

This individual can be based anywhere in the Eastern United States in a fully remote role.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Lead the financial planning and analysis process for the business segment(s), (budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning) working closely with Site Finance Managers and FP&A Commercial lead to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, KPI’s and reports for the business segment in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This includes monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Performance Measurement: Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to assess the financial performance of the business segment. Analyze variances and trends and provide actionable insights to drive performance improvement.
  • Cost Management: Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements within the business segment. Implement cost control measures to achieve financial targets and improve profitability.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with business functional leaders to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making. Act as a trusted advisor to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Financial Governance: Confirm financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity within the business unit. Monitor compliance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes to implement best practices and automation solutions to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor finance professionals. Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to foster a high-performing team culture. In addition to providing financial mentorship to the commercial community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience in a global manufacturing company with globally dispersed teams
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Experience with Office 365 including SharePoint, Power BI, and Dashboards.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as in a team environment
