Overview

The Customer Service Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining customer orders and related information in the company’s systems. This position supports the Customer Service and Operations teams by ensuring data accuracy, timely processing of orders, and effective communication with internal departments.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter customer purchase orders into the ERP/system.

  • Review orders for completeness, pricing accuracy, and correct part numbers.

  • Verify customer information, shipping details, and billing data.

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding order status.

  • Maintain and update customer records in the system.

  • Generate reports related to open orders, backorders, and order tracking.

  • Assist in resolving discrepancies in orders, invoices, or shipments.

  • Support documentation and filing (electronic and physical if required).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.

  • 1–3 years of experience in customer service, order entry, or administrative support.

  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc.) preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

  • Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
