Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the facility and grounds are maintained in accordance with relevant regulations, agency standards and fiscal considerations.
  • Maintain FIIX Mainteance Program.
  • Conduct regular maintenance inspections of buidling and grounds. 
  • Evaluate long term needs in relaton to key projects and property improvments and develop a five-year plan outlining it in cooperation with relevant managers.
  • Coordinate, arrange, and supervise the completion of corrective and preventative maintenance in accordance with operating procedures, practices, and financial consideration. Completion of work may involve management of subordinates or contracted labor per bid.
  • Lead and maintain a spare parts program between all three FG sites.
  • Ensure that major equipment and furnishings are maintained in safe, operable condition and/or arrange for replacement.
  • May arrange for or provide training for personnel as it relates to the safety and maintenance needs of the facility or specific equipment, i.e.: effective utilization of the maintenance logs, completion of routine maintenance specific to the facility, equipment operations, fire safety. May attend training programs relevant to the duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • Participate in annual budget preparation as it relates to the safety and maintenance of the facility, grounds and equipment.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree preferred and/or equivalent work history. Bachelor's degree in a related discipline mechanical, electrical or mechanical engineering a plus.
  • 5 to 7 years of previous equipment maintenance and repair experience, in an environment with a successful preventative maintenance program and a thorough understanding of manufacturing operation requirements.
  • 5-7 years of electrical (panel wiring & layout, AC / DC controls & drives, pneumatics, hydraulic, mechanical, PLC, robotics, HVAC and machine set-up. Shop equipment (lathe, CNC, milling, welding) ability.  Proficient in the use of hand tools.
  • Three years of proven supervisory /managerial experience utilizing a combination of technical, managerial and financial expertise.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations relative to plant operation and maintenance.
  • Must be a proactive problem solver.
  • Experice with a quality system (ISO preferred) and fiscal responsibilities.
  • PC literacy and use of Microsoft office.
  • Experience using Maintenance management software.
  • Able to fabricate components and assemblies from drawings and concepts.
  • High level of mental and visual acuity. Requires reaching, stretching, standing, lifting, bending and squatting.
