This position is responsible for designing filtration-related products per the requirements agreed upon by the design
manager and customer. The design must be optimized for performance, manufacturability (cost and quality) and
must be conducted per ISO/TS 16949 requirements and in conformance to Filtran LLC’s design standards. The
Design Engineer is also responsible for engineering support which includes but not limited to ECO’s, BOM’s, TR’s
CFD and FEA requests, updating MQ1 with design documentation, and advising other departments and customers
in terms of design questions / inputs and any other support as directed.
The principal outputs of the Design Engineer include Creo (Pro/E) CAD models, detailed assembly and component
drawings, bill of materials and other specifications or APQP documentation as required for manufacturability,
quality and testing. As a member of a program team, directs professional engineering projects particularly related to
design and/or development of filtration products. Coordinates these projects through the design phase and resolves
conflicts which may arise using sound engineering principles and practical business judgment. Applies standard
engineering techniques, practices, procedures and criteria in the product development process and other specific
situations.
Upon Management approval, the Design Engineer will release engineering documents and CAD Models for
prototype and production and will provide design support to all other departments during these stages as required.
